How far is St. Andrews Place from St. Louis? St. Andrews is approximately 35 miles from the I-44 and I-270 junction.
Are there restrictions? Yes, St. Andrews Place has recorded restrictions which are available through the sales office.
Can I have a fenced yard? Yes, but any fence must be approved first through the Architectural Control Committee No chain link fencing, or coated chain link fencing, or chain link dog structure is allowed. Wood, vinyl, wrought iron, aluminum (looks like wrought iron) are acceptable, with approval. No fence can begin any closer to the street than the very back of the home.
Is St. Andrews Place in City limits? Yes, it is located in the City of Union.
Are there walk-out lots available? Yes, we have some walk-outs available in Phase V.
Is there Natural Gas available? There is natural gas available in most areas of the development, with the exception of Phase IV and Phase V, and select few areas in the development.
Do the Builders use gas appliances as a standard? No, all the Builders offer all electric homes as a standard, and can price gas appliances to fit your needs for you.
Is Charter Cable available? Yes, in most areas of the development, and is scheduled to be in the entire development.
Can I have Dish TV/Direct TV? Yes
Are there Association Dues? No, currently there are no Association dues.
Can I bring in my plans for your builder to build? Yes, our builders would be happy to bid building your plan. Please contact the sales office on what the builders need to be able to bid your plan.
Can I buy a lot and wait a few years to build on it? Yes, you must maintain the lot or set up a regular lawn maintenance program with a business of your choice.
Do I have to use your builders? No, you may bring in your own builder, but your plans would need to be approved first.
How do I get my plans approved? Currently the plans are reviewed by the St. Andrews Architectural Control Committee. For approval they will need 3 complete sets of plans including square footage, foundation plan, roof pitch minimum of 8/12, color choices for the exterior, accurate grading plan for the lot the home would be built on. Two sets will be given back to you, and those you would then take to the City of Union for a building permit. You must have the plans approved through St. Andrews Architectural Control Committee prior to requesting a building permit from the City.
Do I have to have a construction loan when I build with one of your builders? No, it's easy to build your dream home with one of our builders. The builder will carry the loan during the construction, and you then close on the home just as you would a resale home.
Do I get to choose any colors on the home? Yes, when you build, you pick your exterior colors and interior colors.
How long does it take to build a home? With our Builders, it usually takes 3 to 6 months, weather depending.
